Behavioral Health Care Collaborative (BHCC)

CBHS Independent Practice Association (IPA), a Limited Liability Corporation, was formed to contract for the provision of health services by providers licensed or certified to practice medicine and other health professions, as well as ancillary medical services pursuant to agreements with managed care organizations which operate under Article 44 of the Public Health Law of the State of New York. CBHS IPA will continue to develop an inclusive and clinically integrated network of behavioral health, physical healthcare and home community based services (HCBS) providers, and Community Based Organizations in order to improve the quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency of health care delivery in the New York Hudson Valley Region.
CBHS IPA believes that, if implemented effectively, value-based payment can advance its stated mission to 1) support its members’ efforts to provide effective behavioral health services to the Medicaid, Medicare, and uninsured populations; 2) develop resources necessary to establish innovative responses to the evolving health care system in New York State; and 3) promote recovery-oriented and outcome-based services that are high quality and affordable.
CBHS IPA will serve as the organizing and contracting vehicle for the CBHS Behavioral Health Care Collaborative (BHCC). CBHS is committed to working with its managed care payers, partners across the care continuum, and regional Performing Provider Systems (PPS) to successfully transition into a value-based payment environment as outlined in the NYS VBP Roadmap.
